Stuck, Rollbacked, & stuck again

Hello fellow players

Clearly I need help. My character got stuck in Path of Time IV (where Master Chronos are) and the client crashed. Afterwards, I log back in as usual only to see that my character has been rollbacked (lost about 27 levels). Now, whenever I try to log in to my character, the game would just bring out an error:

"Unable to log in the game" or something like that. I tried making a new character but to no avail.

Can anyone help me? To GMs: Is it possible to restore my levels?

Any help would be appreciated.

I guess you have to download Map.wz or whole Maplestory v.117 again..

Restore lvls are not possible. Well its possible but you will miss all APs (Ability Points)

Thanks for the info. I'll leave re-installing as a last resort because it took me around 4-5 hours to download the whole thing.

Any other info?

Well, i can try find you Maplestory updater to V.117 that should repair files? Maybe and its about 80mb, wont take 5hours! With this it can maybe work & you can get in game but you cant get your levels back, sorry.

Or maybe you can but i cant help with those 27levels.

I'm not too fussed about the 27 levels thing (because it only took me 1.5 hours); I'm more fussed about not being able to log in.

Also, would deleting the original MS from my PC & installing it (from the installer I downloaded) again fix the problem? Because I didn't have this problem earlier.

I tried the manual patcher you linked me and to no avail. To be precise, the patcher always freezes as soon as I open it.

Any more ideas?

try the unstucker on the website

I've tried that also. After using the unstucker on the website, it gives me the same error message when I try to log in. After that I need to use the "fix" (already logged in) on the website.

So basically it's an endless cycle of: Unable to log in error ---> Already logged in error ---> Fix on website ---> and it repeats itself.

Also, in addition, the precise error message I get it "Unable to connect to game server."

PS: When moving the Myple files over to the Maplestory folder, do we REPLACE the files or do we just simply place a copy to the Maplestory folder? I wonder if that has any relevance.

I replaced mine the files when I installed. You can definitely use the setup if you still have it, and just make another folder.

Sorry for this, but what do you mean by "make another folder"? I replaced the files also and whenever I launch the Myple client it would always bring a notification saying "compatibility problems." Even then, I could still access the game and whatnot and the only problem I have now is logging in.

I brought this up to see if it was related.

Well, you do have multiple folders of Maplestory already I'm guessing. You could just make a new folder and do a fresh install. I have about 4 folders for Maplestory, for back when I played a wide variety of versions.

Try as Logan said to make a new account, it may just be an account issue, and if it is, you won't have to go through the pain of re-installing :/

Off-topic: I'll be your friend, I didn't wanna have to post just to say this ;P

I made a new account and it worked. Only thing gone is the progress I've made but at least I can play now.

Update: So within a few hours of my new account working, it seems the same thing happens. I was on haunted mansion. The next thing I new I d/ced, then logged back in to see my character was rolledback..again. Now whenever I try to log back in, the same error occurs. This has happened with both accounts now.

Can someone really address this issue?

seems to me your doing something that is getting your character stuck. try to do something different, and also to stop roll backs as often relog more frequently

On my 1st account, I was hunting Master Chronos in
On my 2nd account, I was grinding on Nightmares & Skeletons in Haunted Mansion

Unless there are bugged maps that I should be aware of, I don't think that I was the direct cause. Also, my whole account is stuck, both of them; not just the character.

PS: Does anyone else have to resort to disabling their anti-virus when executing the client? Because I'm using AVG anti-virus and unless I disable the whole thing temporarily, it won't let me access the client because of the error "ijil15.dll is missing". Perhaps this has something to do with the account stucking?

As for the rollback, I've just noticed that it rollsback to the point I last relogged. So I'll keep that in mind, thanks. Now all we need to do is figure out the whole stuck thing.
