WIN 7 Help with starting game

I have downloaded everything.

I patched via the manual patcher.
I then moved the client and stuff to my folder.
I open it and the beginning splash screen for Myple starts up and I hit play.
Then nothing happens, it doesn't patch a second time like I see it's supposed to.
HELP PLEASE, I really want to play. :c

I don't have an security as well, so nothing to disable and stuff.

You took all the files and moved them into the maplestory folder? And you're sure its v117? make sure you run as admin too. The download was for 116 and you need to run the patcher to 117

No,that's not the problem.

It can be because you don't run it as Administrator or there's a problem with compatibility.

First try it:

Step 1) Right Click on Myplestory client

Step 2) Run as Administrator

If it doesn't works try it:

Step 1) Right Click on Myplestory client

Step 2) Click on Properties

Step 3) A pop-up will show and then, click on the Compatibility Tab

Step 4) In the compatibility mode section, check the box and choose what iOS system you're running. The default choice is usually Windows XP. Change it to Windows 7 (or if you use Windows Vista change it to Windows Vista)

*Step 5) At the bottom of the pop-up, under the section Privilege Level, check the Box that says Run as Administrator.(If the problem is with Administrator permissions you can just do this step instead of running the game as Administrator everytime)


*This will make a pop-up appear each time you open the client asking you, the Administrator(owner of the pc), if you want to run with your permission, hence the function 'Run as Administrator'. All programs should automatically Run as Administrator if you use Windows 7. But some cases, it won't

It worked like a charm, I think that should be implemented into the main instructions. Because that is a very useful tip for people running Windows 7. Unless that is a common thing to know, in which case I just suck. But either way, thank you! I will see everyone in game now. (:

I have this problem also.. but my problem is when i click play, the system will say maplestory is stopped working.. i tried the solving steps given, and i find out thr's no choice for window 7 when i try to change the compatibility. can help me too? i really wan to play also plssss~~~~

I forget to tell tat i am maple SEA player. so i am using maple SEA game files.. Does it matter?? i just download the game client and copy into the maple folder. and then the problem happens

ok i solve the problem myself but now new problem again.. When i click Artemis server, the window will close and say hack detected.. wtf???
